There were a large number of effects, which mainly came from the Vari*Lites, but some used other kit:

Low Smoke from an Antari Ice used as the car expiring and at the entrance to the Ballroom.

HELL Ripples used for moonlight reflecting off the water at the quayside.

Sun and moon gobos were used in the VL6Cs and a rotational overlay made the sun shimmer. Lightning gobos were used in the opening scene and were inverted to form the trunks of trees, using a leafy breakup on top.

We had to play with the angle of the screens during the Wedding scene to get the window gobos square.

Linear breakup gobos with a rotational overlay were used to create the rain for the first scene.
