This was a very basic rig. A three colour pastel wash was used throughout, with stronger colours to lift the costumes through the songs. Heraldic gobos were projected onto the auditorium walls to represent the ancestors and Dry Ice was used in the ballet scene. Care was taken to light behind the rear flat line to ensure that actors did not go into a black hole when going through the US doors.
