Welcome to my home page. My name is Dave Beattie and I have decided to document my hobby: Stage Lighting. I have been creating lighting designs since I was at school. I continued lighting at University and on through my career. I even spent two years working in the West End on shows like Miss Saigon. I will take you through the lighting designs that I have done over the past few years highlighting the details that made them special. I will also add some comments reflecting on the various successes and failures. The aim of this website is to get some of these thoughts out of my head and to form a reference for myself and others. In many places you will find that I have designed the scenery for a production. This is more of a sideline, but I have had some success. Please use the links at the left to navigate this site. |
